What the job involves

• Continuously monitor assigned platforms for performance and operational excellence ensuring established SLAs are maintained and contributes recommendations for process and/or platform improvements
• Exhibit a sense of ownership for assigned platform(s) and maintain/grow the knowledgebase of Clients Merchants and Users serviced by the platform
• Periodically survey platform customers to gage and drive improvements in customer satisfaction where appropriate
• Create complex SQL queries and understand SQL scripts to enhance the platform and support customers
• Parse analyze and understand system log files
• Subject matter expert on payment message formats and data file formats associated with assigned platforms
• Proactively monitor the performance of assigned platforms and raise potential performance or reliability issues to development and support teams to investigate / address to avoid impact on system availability/customer experience
• Plan and coordinate payment solutions and enhancements with the development team
• Meet and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to establish project scope system goals and requirements
• Provide high-level design for data and message flows and write detailed technical requirements including non-functional requirements and associated design constraints/considerations for security performance reliability and maintainability
• Collaborate with QA testing in the research and writing of test cases along with participating in system testing
• Engaged in production deployment for coordination and verification as the owner of the platform
• Owner of platform and knowledgeable of all operational and maintenance activities up to monitoring the efforts
• Create and maintain platform documentation including process flows design/architecture operational playbooks escalation procedures and training materials as needed
• Create Software Release and Change Management tickets as well as internal IT request tickets for system updates
