What the job involves
Continuously monitor assigned platforms for performance and operational excellence ensuring established SLAs are maintained and contributes recommendations for process and/or platform improvements
Exhibit a sense of ownership for assigned platform(s) and maintain/grow the knowledgebase of Clients Merchants and Users serviced by the platform
Periodically survey platform customers to gage and drive improvements in customer satisfaction where appropriate
Create complex SQL queries and understand SQL scripts to enhance the platform and support customers
Parse analyze and understand system log files
Subject matter expert on payment message formats and data file formats associated with assigned platforms
Proactively monitor the performance of assigned platforms and raise potential performance or reliability issues to development and support teams to investigate / address to avoid impact on system availability/customer experience
Plan and coordinate payment solutions and enhancements with the development team
Meet and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to establish project scope system goals and requirements
Provide high-level design for data and message flows and write detailed technical requirements including non-functional requirements and associated design constraints/considerations for security performance reliability and maintainability
Collaborate with QA testing in the research and writing of test cases along with participating in system testing
Engaged in production deployment for coordination and verification as the owner of the platform
Owner of platform and knowledgeable of all operational and maintenance activities up to monitoring the efforts
Create and maintain platform documentation including process flows design/architecture operational playbooks escalation procedures and training materials as needed
Create Software Release and Change Management tickets as well as internal IT request tickets for system updates
