Requirements

  • Five to ten years building software professionally including experience leading or running development teams
  • Deep engineering fundamentals with a track record of shipping production systems end to end
  • Fluency with modern AI and LLM tooling including AI-assisted development
  • Commercial insight to translate business problems into effective technology solutions
  • Autonomy and judgement to be the first technical hire in a remote fast-moving environment
  • Strong in one or more modern languages such as TypeScript JavaScript or Python
  • Full-stack delivery experience with modern front end back end services and databases
  • Experience with APIs and integrations including REST webhooks OAuth and event-driven patterns
  • Experience with automation and workflow tooling alongside custom code
  • Experience with AI and LLM engineering including model APIs retrieval RAG embeddings vector stores agents and prompt design
  • Experience with cloud and delivery including hosting serverless containers CI CD and monitoring
  • Experience with data modelling storage syncing and reporting

Day to day

  • Build AI-enabled workflows automations integrations dashboards portals and custom applications from detailed specifications
  • Own the codebase repositories and delivery environment ensuring every build remains maintainable documented and reliable
  • Establish engineering standards reusable components and patterns while running QA testing and deployment for repeatable dependable releases
  • Scope estimate and stress-test solutions with founders and gradually help shape the solution and lead the delivery function as the team grows
