7+ years of experience designing building testing and managing scalable web applications in AWS-hosted environments
3+ years building back-end applications using Node.js with TypeScript
Experience with relational and NoSQL databases such as PostgreSQL MySQL Redshift or DynamoDB
Hands-on experience implementing Generative AI applications such as RAG chatbots model fine-tuning or LLM-powered tools
Strong knowledge of AWS services including Lambda SNS SQS S3 Step Functions IAM KMS API Gateway CloudWatch and DynamoDB
Experience building observability with CloudWatch and X-Ray for logging metrics and alerts
Experience working in Agile or Scrum environments
Proven ability to mentor and coach less experienced teammates
Strong analytical thinking structured problem-solving and practical decision-making skills
Effective communication and documentation skills
Ability to review and improve code structure and architecture for testability maintainability and scalability
Hands-on experience with JavaScript TypeScript React Node.js Next.js APIs and AWS Serverless technologies
Leadership in end-to-end design and implementation of user interfaces with accessibility and performance optimization
Bachelor's degree in computer science or related engineering field preferred

Design and deliver scalable secure reusable software for BigFuture core tools using modern cloud-native practices on AWS
Collaborate with product owners architects and stakeholders to translate ideas into impactful student-facing solutions and rapidly prototype innovative concepts
Lead Agile delivery mentor peers review code resolve production issues and uphold engineering standards for security performance observability and maintainability
