Requirements
- 7+ years of backend engineering experience with senior or lead level exposure
- Experience leading or mentoring engineers in a hands-on technical leadership role
- Built internal platforms back office systems or operational tooling
- Professional experience integrating LLMs or AI APIs into production environments
- Strong knowledge of databases such as PostgreSQL
- Strong system design skills for scalable reliable backend services
- Strong proficiency in Python or another backend language with willingness to learn Python
- Cloud deployment and production engineering fundamentals including CI/CD observability and infrastructure
- Strong ownership product thinking and bias toward delivery
- Clear communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders

Day to day
- Design and build scalable backend systems for an internal back office platform
- Lead and mentor a small team of engineers while staying hands-on in delivery
- Productionise AI-powered tools and apply LLM APIs agents MCP servers and RAG patterns where they add real value
- Collaborate with Product and internal stakeholders to shape requirements technical solutions and delivery plans
