Requirements
- Degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience
- 7+ years experience with Python and modern JavaScript frameworks, ideally React.js
- Proven experience leading squad planning, ceremonies, prioritisation, and delivery across time zones
- Strong experience with Python and React plus AWS hosting or backend services
- Significant experience using agentic coding tools
- Experience designing automated tests and contributing to CI pipelines
- Experience in agile delivery with sprints stand-ups and retrospectives
- Experience debugging and fixing live incidents and preventing recurrences
- Experience with continuous deployment pipelines and improving them
- Strong understanding of security performance and scalability best practices
- Strong ownership attention to detail and ability to work independently
- Strong communication skills and confidence in technical leadership
- Proactive mindset and willingness to help without being asked
- Comfortable using AI code development tooling
- Right to work in the UK

Day to day
- Own end-to-end solution design for new features within a defined architecture framework
- Lead a small squad by breaking down product requirements into tasks, estimating effort, setting priorities, and tracking delivery
- Build and optimise backend and frontend journeys using Python, React, Flutter, Postgres, and AWS while writing high-quality testable code
- Improve platform performance, resilience, observability, security, developer experience, and CI/CD practices in a fast-moving distributed team
