Requirements
- Bachelor's degree required
- Minimum 10 years of experience
- At least 8 years managing organizational communications including strategy formulation execution tactics and messaging design
- Proven experience in organizational communications planning for various audiences
- Demonstrated expertise editing Associated Press-style narrative and multimedia products
- Experience leading high-performing communications teams
- Healthcare or federal government communications experience preferred

Day to day
- Lead communications strategy, planning, and execution for the Office of Clinical Informatics supporting VA Electronic Health Record Modernization
- Develop executive-level communications plans, messages, themes, channels, and audience strategies that translate complex technical and clinical topics into clear language
- Oversee content creation, editing, multimedia production, and team leadership to deliver accessible, high-quality communications products across a large federal environment
