Who you are
Proven experience in designing scalable distributed services within a production environment
Technical lead experience with hands-on involvement
Experience in building infrastructure following microservice architecture patterns
Familiarity with public cloud service offerings especially IaaS and PaaS
Experience integrating third party and in-house developed systems
Translating user requirements into solution designs effectively
Knowledgeable in architectural tools methods and industry best practices
Ability to think strategically with a strong focus on technology and operational service delivery

What the job involves
Providing technical guidance and architectural designs to help shape the future digital services at Companies House and effectively communicating these to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Helping establish and maintain architectural principles strategy governance and technical direction for Companies House services
Working closely with the architecture team to ensure designs are consistent and fit for purpose
Keeping up to date with new technologies and processes and applying this knowledge to improve our services
Working closely with development teams ensuring their output adheres to the architectural designs
Designing and delivering quality services to users particularly in digital services
Contributing to the forefront of digital transformation in government by helping shape our services
Companies House drives confidence in the economy by creating a transparent and accountable business environment, informing business decisions, supporting growth, and combatting economic crime.
