Requirements
- Proven experience defining and delivering a test strategy for a data platform
- Hands-on experience building test frameworks for Databricks using pytest
- Practical experience with test-driven development and embedding it in a team
- Experience building or configuring Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines for automated tests
- Experience leading or mentoring test engineers and raising team standards
- Strong understanding of data pipeline testing challenges including data quality and schema validation
- Ensure documentation is reviewed and approved by the central data platform team
- Participate in communities of practice ceremonies and approval forums

Day to day
- Own the test strategy and quality engineering approach for an Azure Databricks platform
- Design and implement a structured, reusable test framework to replace ad-hoc testing
- Build and embed automated testing and data quality checks into Azure DevOps delivery pipelines
