Who you are
- Hold enrollment in a JD or LLM program.
- Demonstrate strong organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple deadlines.
- Possess excellent computer and online research skills and experience in data management.
- Show a dedicated interest in immigration advocacy and experience working with vulnerable populations is preferred.
- Must be able to work independently in a remote setting.
Desirables
- Dari/Pashto fluency
- Immigration legal experience
What the job involves
- Assist with drafting and editing legal documents including declarations for asylum seekers.
- Conduct intake interviews and prepare detailed case summaries.
- File for asylum applications family reunification petitions and permanent residency forms.
- Participate in legal training coalition calls and discussion panels.
