Requirements

  • Relevant experience in IT support systems or cyber security
  • Experience or knowledge of children’s services care education or charity settings
  • Proficiency with remote support tools such as TeamViewer AnyDesk or RDP
  • Strong understanding of networking operating systems including Windows and Linux and cloud security
  • Familiarity with security tools and cyber security best practice
  • Strong problem-solving troubleshooting and prioritisation skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively including remote support activity
  • Curious innovative and values-led approach with excellent people skills
  • Full driving licence and access to a car
  • Enhanced DBS check required

Day to day

  • Provide responsive IT support on-site remotely and through the support desk to diagnose and resolve software hardware network and system issues
  • Monitor systems and networks to identify risks and maintain secure reliable IT operations including vulnerability scanning patch management and phishing remediation
  • Support cyber security compliance and best practice by helping maintain Cyber Essentials certification updating policies and documentation and promoting safe technology use across the organisation
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues internal teams and external providers while managing priorities and contributing to IT projects budgeting and continuous improvement
