Requirements
- Extensive UK payroll experience in bureau, managed services or outsourced payroll
- Experience managing multiple concurrent payrolls for a customer portfolio
- Expert knowledge of UK payroll legislation including PAYE National Insurance statutory payments RTI and HMRC compliance
- Strong experience with complex payrolls for medium and enterprise organisations
- Extensive experience working with multiple pension providers
- Experience processing benefits in kind payrolled benefits P11D reporting and Class 1A National Insurance
- Experience processing employee share schemes equity compensation and related payroll tax implications
- Strong understanding of payroll taxation including directors NI student loans postgraduate loans attachment of earnings off-cycle payments and termination payments
- Strong experience reconciling HMRC liabilities and resolving complex payroll discrepancies
- Ability to interpret payroll legislation and communicate technical concepts clearly
- Excellent investigative and analytical skills
- Exceptional organisational skills and ability to manage multiple deadlines
- Proven ability to build trusted customer relationships through a consultative approach

Day to day
- Act as the dedicated payroll expert for a portfolio of customers, delivering an outsourced payroll service with accuracy and care.
- Manage multiple complex UK payrolls end to end, including validation, reconciliation, approval, submission and post-payroll tasks.
- Advise customers on legislation, statutory payments, pensions, benefits and equity compensation while building trusted relationships through proactive support.
