Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related field
- 4–7 years of experience designing mechanical systems for large-scale facilities
- Experience with cooling systems and mechanical infrastructure in data centers or similar environments
- Working knowledge of mechanical and plumbing codes and standards
- Experience coordinating with external design consultants
- Familiarity with tools such as Bluebeam Excel Smartsheet MS Office or similar
- Ability to review technical designs and support construction execution
Nice to have
- PE license
- CFD experience
- FEA experience
- AHJ experience
- Utility permitting experience
Day to day
- Design mechanical and piping systems for hyperscale data center projects
- Review and guide work from external engineering consultants while maintaining design quality and consistency
- Support projects through design reviews permitting and construction phases and conduct site visits for validation and troubleshooting
