Requirements

  • Strong core DBA skills including installation configuration performance tuning RAC Data Guard and RMAN
  • Demonstrable experience in database upgrades and related technologies
  • Experience with other Oracle technologies such as Weblogic ASM and Exadata
  • Experience with OCI AWS or other cloud vendors
  • Previous experience in a support services environment with ITIL-based working practices
  • Ability to install upgrade patch clone and maintain Oracle Databases
  • Experience with Oracle RDBMS 10g to 19c and associated tools
  • Proficient operating system skills in Linux Unix or Windows
  • Strong shell scripting and SQL skills
  • Excellent computer systems competence including Microsoft Office
  • Excellent time management and prioritisation skills
  • Ability to work with and share knowledge within a team
  • Ability to create technical documentation as appropriate
  • Ability to build and maintain good customer relationships
  • Ability to manage competing priorities across multiple clients
  • Eligible to obtain and maintain UK Security Clearance

Day to day

  • Provide technical consultancy and operational support to customers across Oracle database environments.
  • Resolve incidents promptly while delivering proactive maintenance and supporting customer projects.
  • Work remotely in a managed services team and participate in an on-call rota.
