Requirements
- NEBOSH qualifications or equivalent
- Health & safety degree preferable
- Thorough understanding of CDM 2015 regulations and application
- Ability to spot and advise on Health & Safety non-compliance
- Proficient in design risk management
- Up-to-date with all Health and Safety Executive (HSE) legislation and developments
- Advise on specialist areas like fire regulations, hazardous substances
- Affable, amicable, and firm when required
- Good organisational skills, self-supervised work ethic
- Excellent technical writing, client-facing, and communication skills
Day to day
- Work closely with technical and management lead in London to deliver high-quality services
- Provide CDM/ H&S training to clients and chair the CDM service delivery forum
- Manage workload, resources, and projects with existing and new clients
- Lead key accounts and manage financials for own projects
- Offer technical knowledge, strategic solutions, and quality Principal Designer & CDM services
- Assist the project team in reviewing designs for health & safety risks throughout RIBA stages
- Ensure designers comply with CDM 2015 regulations through preventive measures
- Engage in business development and bid writing for CDM/H&S bids
