Requirements
- 10+ years of software engineering experience with senior staff or principal IC exposure
- Deep expertise in Swift and Kotlin with production-level experience on both iOS and Android
- Hands-on experience with React Native or Kotlin Multiplatform
- Proven ability to own mobile platform architecture decisions including state management offline handling performance and release processes
- Experience leading a mobile platform modernization or significant re-architecture effort
- Demonstrated use of AI-assisted development tools such as Claude Code GitHub Copilot or Cursor to ship production systems
- Experience designing and evolving large-scale distributed systems across multiple teams and years
- Track record of driving architectural standards technical roadmaps or platform initiatives across organizations
- Strong engineering quality mindset including observability CI/CD test automation and debt reduction
- Ability to write clear architecture documents present to technical and non-technical audiences and build consensus without authority
- Experience working in distributed teams across the US China and Latin America
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field preferred or equivalent experience

Day to day
- Own the end-to-end technical strategy for iHerb's mobile platform across iOS and Android used by millions of global customers
- Define platform architecture decisions including app structure shared components native versus cross-platform patterns and modernization direction
- Write production mobile code build proofs of concept validate architecture through working software and raise technical standards through reviews and coaching
