Beyond Retail is an award-winning and fast-growing multi-website online retailer. In just 10 years we’ve grown from an idea to a £50m/yr business. We're on a mission to help create well-designed homes that look great, feel special, and have a positive impact on people's everyday lives.

We believe the world should be filled with beautiful, functional homes that create a better everyday life for the people that live in them. We think that home is more than just a place - it's also an idea, a feeling, and it's universally important.

Right now, we're focused on transforming bathrooms, improving kitchens, and making sure homes are warm and cosy. In future, we'll look at how we can transform other areas of the home too.

We’ve always felt very strongly that the best companies are those that care about their people. Happy people do great things. Culture plays a big part in everything we do. We believe work should be fun, and that managers should be multipliers. We value curiosity and life-long learning. We think it's better to know, even when it's easier not to - feedback is essential. We think failure is both natural and necessary. We care about teamwork and collaboration, and we appreciate those with a growth mindset rather than a big ego. Our focus on culture isn't an afterthought - we've cared deeply about it from day one, and our 10 Principles are deeply embedded in how we work, how we act and how we lead.

We're location-agnostic. We have great offices in Bournemouth, and fantastic people from all around the country. Some of us are 100% remote, some work in the office, and others like a mix. It's what we do that counts, not where we do it.

Over 8 million people visit our 3 retail sites (Drench, Tap Warehouse and Toasty) each year. In 2011, we shipped our very first order. 10 years later we shipped over 250,000 of them. But to be honest with you, we're just getting started.

Beyond Retail (UK)

Beyond Retail is an award-winning multi-website online retailer offering bathroom, kitchen and heating products to Britain’s homeowners and tradespeople. Over 8 million people visit our websites each year, and we’re on a mission to help create well-designed homes that look great, feel special, and positively impact people's everyday lives.
We’re almost 15 years old, and in that time, we’ve accelerated from zero to £50m/year revenue, won local and national awards, and grown to 150-plus people. Our three websites - Drench, Tap Warehouse and Toasty - are growing from strength to strength, and we’re looking for a Product Associate who will sit within our Technology department and help us to continue our growth journey.
Our team purpose is to build and use technology to make life better for our customers and colleagues. We strive to solve the right things in the right way, but are rarely the end-users of the things we build. This is where our Product team comes in.
We are looking for a Product Associate to be the engine room of our ecommerce function. You’ll handle the research, the testing, and the fine-tuning of the systems that keep us moving. You’ll take ownership of the smaller projects that make a big difference ensuring our internal teams have exactly what they need to succeed. You’ll be the person who ensures that when we ship a new feature, it’s documented, the data is spot on, and everyone knows how to use it.
We aren’t looking for a finished product; this role is perfect for someone aspiring to build a career in Product Management. You will receive direct mentorship from our Product Manager and Tech Director, with a clear path to grow into a Product Manager role as you take on more ownership. We’re looking for someone detail-oriented who enjoys the "detective work" of research and process improvement. If you have experience in merchandising or ecommerce operations and a knack for data, you’ll thrive in this role.
Key Responsibilities:
Support the roadmap: Work closely with the Product Manager to turn big ideas into actionable plans through thorough research and clear communication.Master our tools: Take hands-on responsibility for the "fine-tuning" of our tech stack, including Akeneo (PIM), Algolia (Search), and Umbraco (CMS), ensuring they are working as hard as they possibly canOwn projects and tickets: Take the lead on smaller, high-impact improvements and bug fixes, managing them from initial request through to successful launchBe the champion of data: Ensure our product data and system configurations are accurate, consistent, and optimised for a best-in-class customer journey.Bridge the knowledge gap: Create and deliver the documentation, guides, and "how-to" demos that empower our ecommerce function to get the most out of our technology.Test and validate: Act as the final line of defence for quality, ensuring that what the developers build actually solves the problem we set out to fix.
Key Skills:
Experience in merchandising or ecommerce operations.A love for getting into the weeds of how things work, with a real drive to master and fine-tune the ecommerce tech stack (Akeneo, Algolia, Umbraco).A natural "detective" that enjoys solving problems and researching new features.A relentless eye for detail and a commitment to maintaining accurate, consistent product data and system configurations.Ability to create clear documentation, guides, and resources that help teams get the most from the tools they use.A disciplined, organised approach and a drive to identify opportunities to make daily processes run more smoothly.

Our Values
Our ten core principles shape everything we do. These inform the foundations of our relationships with customers and each other, but they also shape how we measure and reward our colleagues' performance. Simply put, success is not about who you are or how loud you shout, but about the impact you make and what you do. We encourage doing rather than dreaming – if you have an idea, speak up, and we will listen! Everyone’s opinion matters, and any suggestions are welcome.
Our DiversityWe aim to foster a culture where individuals of all backgrounds feel confident bringing their whole selves to work, feel included, and have their talents nurtured, empowering them to contribute fully to our vision and goals.
Work is not a place; it is what you do…We believe the future of work is about flexibility. Not everyone does their best work in an office, and not everyone wants to work exclusively from home. Our employees can work flexibly, either from home or in our office. To demonstrate our commitment to this, we have a fantastic Home Working Support Scheme! We want to ensure that those who do choose to work from home can still work in the best possible environment and are not left out of pocket. As well as providing tech, we offer up to £500 allowance to kit out your home work space.
