What the job involves

• Work on developer productivity improvements at the core of Gusto's main applications. Ensure applications are up-to-date and use effective architecture. Collaborate with various teams to develop end-to-end product experiences for complex customer needs.
• Ideate solutions, pitch, plan, measure, and implement them iteratively. Create leverage for product engineering through services, abstractions, and architecture.
• Maintain a close connection with product engineering colleagues to anticipate changes.
• Seek out and solve inefficiencies in tooling, APIs, and feedback mechanisms to improve productivity.
