Who you are
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g. business, data science, computer science, statistics, mathematics) or equivalent experience
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with 4+ years of Analyst and/or Product Management experience, particularly in Agile environments
- Proven ability to lead and manage a team, including setting goals and providing guidance and support
- Understanding of basic data warehousing concepts and experience with data and analytic tools including dbt, SQL, Tableau, Looker
- Experience using different project management tools such as Smartsheet & JIRA
- Strong attention to detail and proven record of managing complex projects
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Desirables
- Experience working in the education technology field
- Experience working with data products
- Certification in a related process (PMP, Lean Sigma Six, Agile Scrum-master)
- Experience working with large and complex datasets
- Strong understanding of data governance and privacy issues
What the job involves
- We are looking for a talented and passionate Product Manager to join our Data team
- The data department works across Amplify to empower all with accurate, reliable, governed data and analytic tools to make informed decisions
- As a product manager, you will step into a key leadership role in Amplify’s data organization responsible for managing and prioritizing a roadmap for our data teams that delivers timely, actionable insights
- Work with data impact partners, data teams and other key stakeholders to build a product roadmap aligned to company objectives
- Discover the user stories behind the data needs and requests we hear
- Take responsibility for successful delivery of quarterly projects, including establishing best agile practices
