Requirements
- 5 years minimum PR experience in a Corporate Agency or Nonprofit environment
- Genuine interest in solving the STEM education gender and opportunity gap
- Strong leadership and team building skills
- Resourceful can-do attitude
- Comfort working in a virtual organization with digital tools such as G-Suite Slack Jira and Salesforce
- Flexible schedule for non-regular meetings during the workweek
- Willingness to host media at JerseySTEM sponsored events in New Jersey
- Ability to attend virtual team meetings once or twice a week
- Ability to monitor and guide team efforts

Day to day
- Lead the evaluation and design of a professional PR function for JerseySTEM and help build the infrastructure needed to expand awareness.
- Develop and implement public relations strategies that strengthen JerseySTEM’s reputation among corporate donors and amplify its mission.
- Create PR processes, manage an editorial calendar, coordinate media outreach, and support spokesperson training while collaborating closely with Marketing and event teams.
