Who you are

  • 5+ years of experience in manual software testing, including writing and executing test plans and test cases
  • Prior experience working in an Agile environment
  • Experience with testing web applications and APIs
  • Prior experience with EHR (Epic Systems, Athena, Cerner, etc), is highly preferred
  • Familiarity with defect tracking tools (e.g., JIRA)
  • Experience with SQL and performing database queries to validate data integrity
  • Previous experience in a high-growth, fast-paced startup environment is nice to have
  • Proven ability to thrive in a collaborative environment with direct communication and feedback
  • Passion for ensuring the highest quality in software products, with a strong attention to detail
  • Experience with software development lifecycle and the role of QA within it
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think critically about how users will interact with the product
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate issues clearly and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams

What the job involves

  • Execute detailed manual tests on both frontend and backend components to identify and document software defects
  • Develop, maintain, and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases based on product requirements and specifications
  • Collaborate with developers, product owners, and other stakeholders to understand requirements, clarify issues, and provide feedback on the quality of the product
  • Participate in sprint planning and daily stand-ups, contributing to a seamless and efficient development process
  • Perform regression testing to ensure that new code changes do not adversely affect existing functionalities
  • Provide detailed reports on test findings, track issues to resolution, and validate defect fixes
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of the QA process, suggesting enhancements to testing tools, methodologies, and practices
  • Ensure adherence to company quality standards and promote a culture of quality across the development teams
