Role


Who you are

  • Define test requirements and automate test procedures to help create and maintain an exceptional user experience
  • Identify, record, document thoroughly and track bugs
  • Perform thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved
  • Liaise with internal teams (E.G. developers and product managers) to identify system requirements
  • Track quality assurance metrics like defect densities and open defect counts
  • Stay up to date with new testing tools and test strategies
  • A demonstrable grounding in QA principles and methodologies
  • Fluency with Pytest and Playwright, Selenium (Playwright preferred)
  • Python and at least one other scripting language (E.G. Bash, Groovy, JavaScript)
  • Ability to write readable, maintainable, modular and extendable test code
  • Good understanding of principles of RESTful APIs and Databases
  • Strong knowledge of Linux (RedHat, Ubuntu) including CLI, including Docker
  • Commercial experience of using version control tooling (GIT) in a large development team performing Continuous Integration

Desirables

  • Familiar with configuring and supporting Jenkins
  • Practical experience of large-scale application testing
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Good understanding/awareness of Accessibility, Security, Performance best practices
  • Proficient in English, written and spoken
  • Ability to empathize

  • As a QA Engineer (Validation Team) within the 'Ngenea' team, you will primarily work with fellow engineers to validate software in an agile environment where we ship features frequently to create user delight
  • Using your strong ownership of responsibilities, time management, and adopting a results driven nature is essential to achieve our objectives across multi-disciplinary teams
  • You'll have tons of opportunities to apply your skills to interesting new problems
