Who you are

• Gather and pursue leads from Neurology conferences and congresses
• Develop a network of thought leaders in neurodegenerative biomarkers research
• Build a funnel of opportunities with Research Institutes, University Hospitals, and Commercial Labs
• Present the value proposition of RUO Neuro biomarkers from Beckman Coulter
• Generate proposals, negotiate terms, close sales, and get contracts signed
• Make initial customer presentations and arrange technical meetings with Applications Scientists
• Develop and maintain customer relationships
• Be a self-starter with keen attention to detail
• Ability to learn and apply information to novel situations
• Proven track record in a team environment
• Bachelor’s Degree with 9+ years of experience
• 7+ years of experience with a Master’s degree
• Ph.D with 3 years selling research use only (RUO) within research and academic institutions
• Entrepreneurial mindset
• Strong understanding of the discovery and development process for neurodegenerative modalities
• Strong commercial skills
• Ability to partner with service and marketing
• Strong contracting skills
• Solid forecasting skills
• Analytical and fact-based

Desirables

• Experience selling similar products in academia, pharma, and research
• Experience with research use only laws, regulations, and guidelines
• Experience with change management/performance improvement efforts

What the job involves

• Create institutional demand for Beckman Coulter’s Research Use assays for neurodegenerative diseases and companion instruments.
• Engage with principal investigators, Core Directors, and Reference Lab Directors at research and academic institutions.
• Work with stakeholders to align Beckman Coulter research solutions with institutional research strategy, goals, and KPIs.
