Requirements

  • 4+ years in cybersecurity application security or security engineering
  • Strong knowledge of secure coding principles OWASP Top 10 and threat modeling
  • Experience with vulnerability scanning tools and penetration testing methodologies
  • Hands-on experience with SIEM IDS and security monitoring tools
  • Proficiency in scripting and automation with Python Bash or PowerShell
  • Cloud security experience in AWS Azure or GCP including IAM and workload protection
  • Knowledge of encryption protocols network security and API security best practices
  • Experience integrating security into CI/CD pipelines and DevSecOps
  • Ability to analyze security logs detect anomalies and mitigate threats
  • Strong communication skills for non-technical stakeholders

Day to day

  • Safeguard applications infrastructure and data from threats and vulnerabilities
  • Partner with development DevOps and IT teams to embed secure coding vulnerability scanning and threat modeling into daily work
  • Build monitor and improve secure development lifecycle security monitoring and risk mitigation controls
  • Respond to incidents analyze root causes and strengthen preventative security measures
  • Collaborate on feature API and integration security reviews while keeping pace with emerging threats and technologies
