Remote Security Engineer Job in Nashville, TN Clover Health

Who you are

• 1+ years of experience in a security role with priority on engineering
• Experience investigating and triaging incidents
• Basic understanding of operating systems (Linux, OSX, etc.) and networking fundamentals
• Strong understanding of at least one of the following technologies: Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, Shell Scripting
• Comfortable with conducting code reviews for security vulnerabilities frequently
• Assessed the security of APIs and systems by analyzing authentication, authorization mechanisms, input validation, and potential vulnerabilities
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, able to craft clear and comprehensive reports and research
• Stay up-to-date with the latest research on threats, attack vectors, and security trends
• Knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks and standards (e.g., NIST, ISO, CIS)

What the job involves

• Serve as a SME for security related code and technical design reviews
• Identify and collaborate with engineering and SRE to resolve areas of security vulnerability in our software, systems and infrastructure
• Assess and improve systems for compliance with security requirements, policies, guidelines and standards
