Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in tech or equivalent work experience
- 4+ years of IT security experience
- 2+ years as a security engineer (beyond analyst roles)
- Security certification (CISSP, CISM, or similar)
- Strong understanding of security best practices, policies, and procedures
- Expert knowledge in SIEM, MDR, XDR, and EDR
- Extensive experience in incident response and custom detections
- Strong knowledge in SAAS security, endpoint protection, and malware analysis
- Practical applications of bash or python scripting
- Knowledge of security and compliance frameworks
- Knowledge and experience with AWS or GCP
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Service and resolution skills
- Ability to be on-call
Day to day
- Improve security tools and processes
- Identify threats and detect incidents
- Deliver effective response and remediation
- Develop and train best security practices
- Monitor security applications, infrastructure, and systems
