Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- 5+ years of experience in backend software development using .NET (experience with .NET 8 is a must).
- Strong experience with MSSQL and PostgreSQL, including writing complex queries, optimizing performance, and database administration.
- Proficiency in RESTful API design and development.
- Experience with microservices architecture and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
- Solid understanding of backend development best practices, SDLC, agile methodologies, and DevOps practices.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Nice to have
- Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
- Knowledge of front-end frameworks (e.g., Angular, React, Vue.js) and full-stack development is a plus.
- Familiarity with AI and machine learning concepts.
- Experience with version control systems such as Git and CI/CD tools.
Day to day
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable and high-performance backend applications using .NET 8.
- Optimize and manage backend database systems, including MSSQL and PostgreSQL, ensuring data integrity, security, and performance.
- Develop and maintain RESTful APIs to facilitate seamless communication between different components of our platform.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements, design solutions, and deliver high-quality backend services.
- Implement backend software best practices, including coding standards, code reviews, and testing.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize backend services to improve performance, scalability, and functionality.
- Lead and mentor junior developers, providing guidance on backend development techniques and best practices.
- Participate in architectural discussions and contribute to decision-making processes to improve the scalability and reliability of our backend infrastructure.
- Stay current with emerging backend technologies and frameworks, providing recommendations to improve development processes and architecture.
