Remote Senior Backend Engineer Job in New York, NY Turquoise Health

Who you are

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience knowledge
• 5+ years demonstrated experience in backend development building API endpoints and building scalable backend systems
• Experience designing APIs and building endpoints and backend systems in Python
• Experience working with different programming languages like Go Java Kotlin Scala etc
• Experience creating libraries and tools for engineers and operations
• Experience working with SQL or NoSQL databases
• Experience with OLAP datastore technologies such as Apache Pinot
• Familiarity with software engineering development lifecycles
• Entrepreneurial mindset: you prioritize tasks with an eye for evolving business needs and can problem solve independently
• Ability to work effectively in a remote environment

What the job involves

• Design and build strong resilient and robust APIs libraries and tools to power healthcare pricing products
• Be responsible for full software development lifecycle: design development testing and operating in production
• Work cross-functionally with Product and subject matter experts to conceptualize prototype and build API endpoints
• Draft internal and external technical documentation
• Seek and prioritize technical and product feedback from internal customers
• Iterate quickly with an eye towards value
