Requirements
- 5-8 years of software development experience in one or more general-purpose programming languages including Go Python Rust or Ruby
- Experience with GraphQL REST HTTP Thrift or gRPC and ability to design maintainable APIs
- BS degree in Computer Science or a similar technical field or equivalent practical experience
- Strong organizational skills with ability to prioritize tasks and keep projects on schedule
- Entrepreneurial spirit with self-directed innovative action-oriented mindset
- Experience partnering effectively with cross-functional teams in a fully remote environment
- Ability to discuss complex topics with technical and non-technical audiences

Day to day
- Build high-impact backend features and tooling that help moderators keep Reddit safe, healthy, and scalable
- Partner closely with product, design, frontend, mobile, and engineering teams to shape strategy and deliver novel products
- Drive the full development cycle including technical design development testing experimentation analysis and launch while reviewing code and specs
