Requirements
- Minimum 7 years professional experience designing and typesetting book interiors
- Strong knowledge of typography including paragraph character object and GREP styles
- Expert Macintosh skills in Adobe CC especially InDesign Photoshop and Illustrator
- Comprehensive knowledge of long document production in InDesign
- Experience with pre-press operations and print-ready PDF preparation
- Understanding of printing binding and trade book design trends
- Ability to manage multiple tasks priorities and deadlines
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- BA in Design field or related discipline
- Online portfolio required

Day to day
- Design and typeset 4-color lifestyle cookbooks children and gift books
- Develop high-design book interior layouts from written or spoken ideas
- Collaborate with editorial production and art directors on book interiors from concept through print-ready files
- Manage multiple projects troubleshoot issues and maintain progress to meet demanding deadlines
- Manipulate and color-correct images create charts and prepare files for pre-press and printing
