Requirements
- Significant professional software development experience delivering medium-to-large technical projects end to end
- Advanced hands-on command of Git IDEs terminal debugging and testing tools plus relevant languages
- Experience designing extensible maintainable systems ideally developer tooling IDE extensions agent integrations or actively maintained open source projects
- Ability to set technical direction and make architectural decisions for scalable secure high quality products
- Track record working effectively in public with external contributors and high quality community repositories
- Interest in agent-assisted development and building tools that make it smoother and more secure
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Security-minded approach aligned with 1Password principles

Day to day
- Lead open source and developer-tooling initiatives that strengthen 1Password's open source posture and improve agentic IDE workflows through Agent Hooks and IDE plugins.
- Own architectural decisions for medium-to-large projects, guiding work from planning through development and customer support with a strong focus on scalability security and quality.
- Collaborate across Partnerships Product UX SDK and CLI teams while engaging external contributors and community-facing repositories to deliver polished maintainable integrations.
