Requirements
- 5+ years in DevOps SRE platform or infrastructure roles with production ownership
- Deep hands-on experience with AWS and a PaaS deployment model
- Strong CI/CD experience with CircleCI or similar
- Solid observability experience with monitoring alerting and tracing
- Database operations experience including upgrades performance tuning backups and replication
- MySQL or Aurora experience preferred
- Strong security instincts including secrets management access control and vulnerability management
- Comfortable working with application and background-job systems
- Excellent written communication and ability to work autonomously
- Bias toward automating repeated manual work

Day to day
- Own and reproduce infrastructure across AWS and Heroku, replacing manual steps with disciplined infrastructure-as-code practices.
- Build and mature observability with useful dashboards, low-noise alerting, and tracing that speeds root-cause analysis.
- Improve reliability, security, CI/CD, database operations, and incident response while keeping systems efficient, resilient, and easy for engineers to use.
