Remote Senior Electrical Engineer Job in Roseville, CA Mesa Associates, Inc

Who you are

• BS in Electrical Engineering from an ABET accredited college/university.
• 10-15 years of experience in electrical engineering with a focus on fossil and hydro power generation.
• Must have a California PE license.
• Experience with multi-discipline projects in power generation and familiarity with PG&E SCE or other utility processes.
• Proficiency with low and medium voltage power distribution motor controls interfacing industrial processes to DCS and/or PLC systems and power distribution system modeling software (ETAP or similar).
• Ability to understand and apply engineering design principles with good verbal and written communication skills.
• Willingness to accept responsibility and work on high performance teams.

What the job involves

• Design and check deliverables for Power Generation projects such as Single Line diagrams three line diagrams AC & DC elementaries equipment and switchboard wiring diagrams bills of materials vendor mechanism drawings and logic diagrams.
• Coordinate electrical work with a multi-disciplined team ensuring projects are completed on time on budget and meet client expectations.
• Lead or participate in design review meetings and effectively communicate project and technical information.
• Establish and maintain client relations assuming a lead role at project meetings.
• Perform back-checks on own work and engage in administrative and support activities as required.
