Requirements
- 5+ years of software development experience for commercial software preferably SaaS
- 4+ years of commercial software development in TypeScript with React
- 4+ years of server-side development of commercial web applications in Java and/or Kotlin
- Degree in Computer Science Software Engineering or related studies
- Strong Computer Science fundamentals including big-O data structures and algorithms
- Excellent knowledge of TypeScript JavaScript CSS3 HTML5 and Java/Kotlin
- Experience building complex user interfaces
- Good sense of usability
- Skills in designing APIs
- Experience with highly scalable distributed systems
- Experience with Kubernetes and AWS
- Experience with SQL queries and database performance
- Experience with NoSQL technologies such as MongoDB or AWS DynamoDB
- Experience with performance optimization
- Upper-intermediate spoken and written English
- Ability to express technical decisions clearly
- Strong soft skills for multicultural environments
- Ability to work autonomously and remotely
- Ability to learn quickly and communicate on unfamiliar topics

Day to day
- Develop flagship Jira Cloud products as part of a collaborative engineering team
- Write efficient readable maintainable and testable code across frontend and backend
- Create unit tests and occasionally integration and performance tests while reviewing peer code
- Solve complex problems with strong attention to user experience security and performance
- Work closely with product managers designers QA engineers and technical writers to deliver widely used Atlassian plugins
