Requirements

  • 5+ years building and operating production web applications
  • Strong Ruby on Rails experience or comparable framework experience with enthusiasm to learn Rails quickly
  • Excellent systems-debugging instincts for cross-system bugs
  • Real integration experience with REST APIs webhooks OAuth and third-party systems
  • Comfortable working with relational databases and Aurora MySQL
  • Customer-facing temperament with clear communication skills
  • Operationally mature with hotfix and post-ship ownership experience
  • Thrives with autonomy on a small senior team

Nice to have

  • Small-team product engineering
  • GraphQL familiarity
  • Unconventional hardware troubleshooting
  • iOS and iPadOS Swift experience
  • Hospitality or POS integration experience
  • Twilio compliance knowledge

Day to day

  • Own customer-impacting issues end-to-end by debugging across Rails the database third-party integrations and the iOS app
  • Build and maintain complex integrations for hotel property management hotel operations messaging payment and other vendor systems
  • Ship new functionality across the backend and web dashboard while strengthening code quality diagnostics and error handling
  • Work directly with customers and internal teams to resolve integration setup issues and represent engineering professionally
  • Share daytime support rotation and occasionally handle off-hours maintenance and issue resolution
