Requirements

  • Established professional experience as a full stack developer
  • Strong hands-on Next.js and React experience
  • Considerable experience with Vercel
  • Strong backend API development experience with serverless functions in TypeScript and Node.js on Google Cloud Platform
  • Keen understanding of scalable backend systems on cloud and serverless technology
  • Firebase backend knowledge
  • Strong experience with NoSQL databases
  • Agentic engineering experience with a variety of LLMs and AI tools
  • Experience integrating with third-party services
  • Familiarity with web3 and blockchain technologies
  • Solid understanding of software development principles including agile methodologies version control via Github and automated testing
  • Ability to write clean modular and maintainable code while following coding standards and best practices
  • Knowledge of common software design patterns and architectures including functional programming object oriented programming and domain driven design
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot and debug complex issues
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills

Day to day

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable Next.js and React applications across both frontend and backend on Google Cloud Platform and Firebase
  • Build and manage serverless functions and other cloud resources while making thoughtful architecture and technology choices for a greenfield product
  • Collaborate with UI and UX designers and cross-functional teammates to deliver polished user experiences, optimise performance, and resolve bugs
  • Apply an AI-first engineering approach using modern CLI tools and IDE plugins while still understanding core system architecture and correcting AI outputs when needed
  • Contribute occasionally to React Native and mobile web front-end work, conduct code reviews, and support the full software development lifecycle from planning to deployment
