Requirements
- Experience working on at least 5 major applications implementing front end and server-side technologies including Next.js, TypeScript, React, Node.js and AWS cloud services
- Expertise in designing, developing, and documenting Restful and GraphQL APIs
- Expert in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) with Terraform
- Expert implementing build & deployment pipelines and configuring quality gates using Azure DevOps or a similar platform
- Expert in the full HTTP request lifecycle and able to diagnose performance issues
- Expert in CI/CD best practices and how to apply them
- Proficiency with modern testing frameworks such as Cypress or Playwright and React Testing Library + Jest (or similar)
- Proficiency with development tooling, including browser-based dev tools
- Experience with API documentation tools such as Postman
- Working knowledge of AWS cloud architecture and BFF architecture patterns
- Attention to detail and a genuine care about user experience
- Comfortable working in a remote environment and collaborating via Zoom, Slack, etc
- Ability to thrive in a collaborative environment ensuring the right solution is achieved even if it isn't your own

Day to day
- Join a collaborative team of engineers and partner with the product team to strategize, design, build and maintain software in support of Hagerty's Marketplace products.
- Develop well-documented, scalable, and resilient software by setting the standard for and mentoring your team on technical development.
- Own and support features, modules, and products by participating in the on-call support rotation and ensuring the overall health of the product.
- Contribute to a collaborative environment by being an active participant in all team activities and creating a healthy, productive work environment through mutual respect.
