Requirements
- Technical Degree (BS Computer Science/Engineering) or equivalent experience
- Strong understanding of x86 and non-x86 server hardware architecture
- Experience in configuration management best-practices (Ansible/Chef)
- Experience automating server components at large-scale using industry-standard tooling
- Knowledge of PXE boot, UEFI, Linux/OS boot, AMI/OEM BIOS distributions, OpenBMC/AMI/OEM BMC implementations, RAID, network stack
- Proficient in at least one programming language (Python or Go)
- Ability to participate in 24/7 on-call rotation
- Excellent communication skills
- Passion for hardware, both new and old
Day to day
- Translate product roadmaps into next-generation server hardware requirements
- Provide expert-level troubleshooting and resolution for system hardware issues
- Enhance firmware and hardware configuration automation and validation processes
- Directly influence the future of server technology
- Shape innovative solutions with ODM partnerships
- Guide server platforms from inception to production, ensuring high quality, timely delivery, and successful market adoption
