Remote Senior Manager, Revenue Accounting Job in United States Headway

Who you are

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or relevant field
• CPA with Big 4 or large accounting firm experience
• 8+ years of accounting experience
• 3+ years of revenue recognition experience
• Experience with large datasets and SQL
• Experience with ERP, revenue recognition, or billing systems implementation
• Experience in a company with complex payments system
• Ability to lead or collaborate with cross-functional teams
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

What the job involves

• Own the company-wide revenue recognition under ASC 606, supporting contract structuring and new product rollouts.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Product, and Data teams to build in-house systems and tools for accurate reporting on revenue and accounts receivable.
• Oversee revenue month-end close processes, prepare journal entries, account analysis and reconciliations, and deliver financial results.
• Oversee scalable and effective revenue processes for efficient close and control environment.
• Analyze data using SQL to validate system configurations and financial outputs.
• Establish accounting policies and prepare technical revenue accounting memos.
• Review customer contracts for compliance with ASC 606 and company policies.
