Requirements
- Proven experience as a MySQL DBA or Developer with minimum 5 years hands-on experience
- Proficiency in writing and debugging complex MySQL queries and identifying performance bottlenecks
- Strong knowledge of Database concepts
- Familiarity with database monitoring and troubleshooting tools
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Effective communication skills for various mediums
Nice to have
- Experience with ORM in any programming language (Python preferred)
- Experience with Apache Airflow in production environments
- Implemented ETL/ELT processes using Modern Data Stack products
- Experience in PostgreSQL ecosystem
- Contributions to Open Source projects
- Knowledge of Kubernetes and Docker
- Built and maintained CI/CD pipelines
Day to day
- Work across our customer and client base to improve and support Apache Airflow implementations and Astronomer's managed service
- Engage with our development teams to ensure successful implementation of MySQL as a backend database
- Be a trusted advisor for MySQL issues on Airflow deployments
- Engage with the Apache Airflow project and its open-source community
