Remote Senior Projects Specialist Job in UK Virgin Money

Who you are

• In-depth knowledge of Cyber Security Frameworks
• Comprehensive understanding across Information Security domains including IAM, Network Security, Cryptography, PKI, Mobile & API security
• Strong analytical skills to interpret industry trends, regulations, and the threat landscape
• Experience in scoping penetration tests, conducting risk assessments, and overseeing remediation plans
• Skilled in influencing, communicating, and collaborating with senior management and stakeholders
• Well-versed in Cloud Service models like IaaS, PaaS, Saas and security context when deploying solutions into them
• Proven experience in similar role

Desirables

• Experience in regulated industries and financial services
• Knowledge of Microsoft Azure and 365 security products
• Information Security certifications like CISM, CCSP, CRISC, or CompTIA Security+
• Active in cyber community through working groups or knowledge-sharing sessions

What the job involves

• Foster strong connections and advocate for Secure by Design principles throughout projects
• Perform design reviews, threat modelling, and risk assessments to ensure robust security measures are incorporated from the outset
• Offer expert advice and consultation on policy & standards, industry regulations, frameworks, and best practices to support change initiatives and operational teams
• Ensure that security requirements and considerations are integrated into change solutions
• Identify and evaluate security risks to improve security posture in an ever-changing threat landscape
• Set clear objectives and focus areas for security tests to prevent vulnerabilities in technical ecosystem
• Address risks or findings from security scans or tests within risk appetite before changes promoted to production
• Assist team lead and provide mentorship to junior team members fostering a collaborative and growth-oriented environment
