What the job involves

• You will transform the user experience for the Medicaid Drug Program (MDP) product suite at the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS)
• Work on the MDP platform to help CMS negotiate better drug prices, track compliance, and ensure transparency in drug costs
• Your work allows state Medicaid programs to provide affordable prescriptions to low-income individuals and families
• You will work on backend services and applications using Java and the Spring Boot framework
• Work with relational databases, particularly Postgres, for data storage, retrieval, and management
• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve issues in production systems
• Write clean, scalable, and maintainable code aligning with team's coding standards and industry best practices
• Give constructive feedback through coding peer reviews
• Identify areas of improvement in codebase and infrastructure
• Participate in Agile ceremonies like sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives
