Day to day
- You will transform the user experience for the Medicaid Drug Program (MDP) product suite at the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS)
- Work on the MDP platform to help CMS negotiate better drug prices, track compliance, and ensure transparency in drug costs
- Your work allows state Medicaid programs to provide affordable prescriptions to low-income individuals and families
- You will work on backend services and applications using Java and the Spring Boot framework
- Work with relational databases, particularly Postgres, for data storage, retrieval, and management
- Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve issues in production systems
- Write clean, scalable, and maintainable code aligning with team's coding standards and industry best practices
- Give constructive feedback through coding peer reviews
- Identify areas of improvement in codebase and infrastructure
- Participate in Agile ceremonies like sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives
