Requirements
- Experience developing high concurrency performance-oriented Java systems
- At least 5 years of experience as an individual contributor
- Strong software engineering practices including code reviews testability and quality focus
- Strong communication skills to explain complex technical concepts
- Bachelor's degree in computer science engineering or related field or equivalent experience

Day to day
- Build new query capabilities for the Druid query engine and storage system
- Improve SQL planning query optimization vectorization and storage performance
- Collaborate with field engineering to support customers and resolve complex technical issues
- Contribute code and design reviews to help grow the Apache Druid open-source community
