Requirements
- 6+ years of related experience
- 4+ years of experience as a manager
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field
- Excellent interpersonal skills both verbal and written
- Ability to explain complex technical issues to technical and non-technical audiences
- Experience delivering data-intensive software products at scale
- Solid understanding of software engineering statistics and machine learning fundamentals
- Success establishing and evolving operational practices in a software engineering organization
- Experience with change management managing tech debt and analyzing tradeoffs
- Experience with distributed cloud computing
Nice to have
- Sensor or geospatial data experience
- Satellite or airborne earth observations
- Interest in defense intelligence or spatial imagery
Day to day
- Lead and mentor a distributed team of software engineers and data scientists delivering products for Global Monitoring Service.
- Unblock dependencies and shape team priorities so engineers can ship efficiently and grow in a supportive environment.
- Partner with product and cross-functional teams to define strategy refine processes and strengthen engineering practices for model deployment and infrastructure needs.
