Who you are

  • A passion for using technology to make a difference to people and organisations
  • A minimum of 8 years experience in a customer-facing role, ideally in a pre-sales context
  • Ability to create and give technical presentations and demonstrations
  • Experience with Big Data, Data Warehousing, or Relational Databases
  • Experience with one or more major cloud service providers (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
  • Experience in Data Engineering, Data Science, or Machine Learning
  • Experience in Operations, Security, and Data Governance within the enterprise
  • Experience with Unix or Linux
  • Experience gathering and understanding customer business requirements
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Problem-solving skills
  • Willingness to learn, curiosity to discover, and drive to make customers successful

What the job involves

  • Own the technical sales process from introductory meetings through post-sales
  • Support the technical needs of customers including discovering new use cases for Cloudera’s technology
  • Design solutions for customers’ needs using Cloudera technologies based on reference architectures and common patterns
  • Demonstrate Cloudera products to inspire customer agreement
  • Partner with Account Managers to show customers the value of Cloudera solutions and drive successful sales
  • Present product roadmap and vision to inspire customers
  • Interface with Cloudera teams to ensure customers hear one Cloudera voice
  • Advocate for customers’ needs to Product Management and Engineering
  • Participate in external publicity and evangelism (conferences, meetups, webinars, blogs)
