Requirements
- 5+ years software engineering experience for Senior level
- 8+ years with technical leadership across teams for Staff level
- Experience designing and operating distributed backend systems in production
- Strong proficiency in a modern strongly typed language such as Rust Go Kotlin Java or C#
- Hands-on experience with TypeScript
- Experience with cloud platforms and Kubernetes with Helm and CI/CD pipelines
- Experience with relational or distributed SQL databases
- Experience with event-streaming systems preferred
- Experience in payments financial systems tolling or intelligent transportation systems strongly preferred
- Proficiency working in Linux environments
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Ability to work independently on ambiguous multi-service problems
- BS in Computer Science Software Engineering or equivalent experience

Day to day
- Design and build cloud-native event-driven microservices for a multi-tenant tolling and transportation platform
- Own services end to end from architecture and development through deployment, production operation, and root-cause analysis
- Lead cross-team technical initiatives, mentor engineers, and raise engineering standards through design reviews and RFCs
