Requirements
- 10+ years of Java development experience with architectural leadership in enterprise-scale SaaS environments
- Proven ability to make high-stakes architectural decisions independently
- Deep expertise in distributed systems microservices and event-driven design
- Expert-level knowledge of Spring Boot 3.x and Java 17/21+
- Strong expertise in Oracle RDBMS and PL/SQL
- Ability to lead multiple engineering teams and stakeholders without daily hands-on coding
- Experience leading migration from legacy monoliths to modern architectures
- Knowledge of modern frontend frameworks ideally Angular
- Experience defining AWS infrastructure strategy using Terraform
- Knowledge of OAuth2/OIDC and multi-tenant isolation patterns
- Experience architecting high-concurrency environments using RabbitMQ or similar brokers

Day to day
- Serve as primary technical authority for the HRIS product domain and set the architectural direction for five engineering teams
- Partner closely with Product Management and the Director of Engineering to align technical decisions with business goals and long-term platform stability
- Produce high-level designs sequence diagrams and interface definitions while defining Golden Paths shared libraries and governance standards
- Lead architectural reviews mentor senior engineers and evaluate AI-assisted tools and LLM capabilities for secure maintainable SDLC integration
