Requirements
- Five (5) years of experience as a Software Engineer
- Bachelor's degree or four (4) years of additional software engineering experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree
- Experience with software development in an Agile environment
- An active TS clearance to start
- SCI eligibility preferred
Nice to have
- Experience using Jira and Confluence
- Experience providing recommendations for improving documentation and software development process standards
- Experience configuring and managing security policies, firewalls, and access controls to enforce security.
Day to day
- We are seeking a Software Engineer to provide support for implementation, troubleshooting and maintenance of IT systems. The Software Engineer shall be responsible for the installation, configuration, maintenance, and support of software applications and systems within the efforts infrastructure. Responsibilities include: designing and coding new software or modifying existing software to add new features, developing simple data queries for existing or proposed databases or data repositories, developing or implementing algorithms to meet or exceed system performance and functional standards.
- Develop software solutions by analyzing system performance standards, conferring with users or system engineers, analyzing systems flow, data utilization, etc. Analyze user requirements to derive software design and performance requirements. Installing and configuring software applications, databases, and middleware components according to best practices and system requirements. Integrate existing software into new or modified systems or operating environments, assisting with developing and executing test procedures for software components. Performing routing maintenance tasks, such as software updates, patches, and backups to ensure system reliability and security. Providing technical support and assistance for end-users. Provide support for implementation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of IT systems.
