Requirements
- Minimum 8 years of professional engineering experience including leadership or management experience
- 3+ years of engineering management experience with hiring performance management and career development
- Deep understanding of OAuth 2.0 and OpenID Connect including token flows JWKS validation scopes and audience restrictions
- Hands-on experience with ReBAC systems such as OpenFGA Zanzibar or SpiceDB
- Experience with Auth0 or comparable identity providers such as Okta Azure AD or Keycloak
- Strong proficiency in backend languages such as Java Ruby or Python and web frameworks such as Spring Boot Rails or Django
- Fluency with AI coding tools as part of the development workflow with strong judgment over AI-generated output
- Thoughtful collaboration design and decision-making focused on equity access and continuous learning

Day to day
- Lead and mentor a team of engineers building secure authorization and identity systems
- Own roadmap delivery and technical direction for critical Auth team initiatives across multiple stakeholders
- Drive large-scale projects involving OAuth OIDC ReBAC and Auth0 while ensuring quality feasibility and alignment
- Partner with recruiting to hire onboard and grow the team while fostering an inclusive high-standard culture
