Who you are

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent experience
  • 3+ years of experience leading and mentoring software developers
  • 5+ years of experience in software development, preferably in C# or C++ / .NET, Angular
  • 5+ years of experience in SQL development
  • 5+ years of experience with Microsoft Azure or other cloud service platform solutions strongly preferred
  • 5+ years of experience working in an Agile environment strongly preferred
  • Experience with Visual Studio, SQL Server Management Studio, SSIS and SSRS
  • Experience with RESTful services (Azure Function Apps) and consuming/implementing APIs
  • Experience with Scrum/Agile development methodologies
  • Experience with unit testing, integration testing and code tuning
  • Experience with distributed source code control (Git, GitHub, Bitbucket)
  • Knowledge of agile software development tools (Azure DevOps, Jira)
  • Proficiency with relational databases including writing stored procedures and queries
  • Ability to work independently
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong project management and prioritization skills
  • Preferred experience in health insurance industry

What the job involves

  • Manage a team of developers for high quality feature and bug fix delivery and support of production applications.
  • Assess and optimize existing software solutions with engineering leadership, creating a roadmap to reduce technical debt.
  • Uphold best practices in software development supporting client requirement delivery.
  • Oversee multiple concurrent projects across various stages of the software development process.
  • Act as a subject matter expert on Personify Health’s products, services, and client-facing value.
  • Use performance data to address knowledge or skill gaps in the development team.
  • Stay updated with new and emerging development methodologies and implement development tools and technologies.
  • Work with technical and business users to develop and maintain enterprise-wide solutions and standards for data required for metrics and analysis.
  • Apply analytical and technical skills to understand, define, and resolve application support issues.
  • Support daily application monitoring and perform quality checks on development work to ensure exceptional quality.
  • Provide on-call support as needed and create and maintain project documentation and process guidance.
