Requirements
- 7+ years of professional software engineering experience with at least 2 years in people management or team lead role
- Proven track record of leading mentoring and growing high-performing engineering teams
- Strong technical foundation building and scaling web and backend systems
- Experience with modern web technologies in high-traffic eCommerce or direct-to-consumer environments
- Led end-to-end engineering for Shopify storefronts using Hydrogen custom Storefront API integrations and Next.js-based headless architectures
- Solid understanding of software architecture system design APIs and cloud infrastructure such as AWS or GCP
- Ability to deliver complex projects on time while managing competing priorities
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills across product design and data
- Experience establishing engineering best practices including code review testing CI/CD and observability
- Familiarity with agile development methodologies and modern team workflows
- Strong people leadership skills including coaching performance management and career development
- Experience hiring and building diverse inclusive engineering teams
- Bias toward action ownership and continuous improvement
- Experience collaborating closely with QA engineers to define test strategies triage issues and ensure quality across the release cycle
- Experience partnering with UI/UX designers to translate product designs into polished accessible and user-friendly interfaces
